At First Baptist Church, we want to encourage you to know Christ, grow in Christ, and go for Christ.
The Church is not a building, but a family of born-again believers who commit to loving one another by gathering together regularly for worship and running alongside one another as we know, grow, and go in Christ. We, at FBC, have been a church who loves and lives out the gospel since 1892.
Our church's campus is located on E Main Street across from the Fire Station and Haw River Elementary.
We gather together every Sunday to worship as one body by reading the Bible, praying the Bible, preaching the Bible, singing the Bible and seeing the Bible lived out.
We would love for you to be our guest and join us for worship this Sunday!

A Welcoming Atmosphere
There’s no formal dress code — come as you are! We’re a friendly, gospel-centered church family, and we would love to meet you.
Christ-Centered Worship
In our singing, we include a blend of theologically rich songs — both old and new — with the goal of glorifying the one, true, living God and deepening our faith.
Each week, we open the Scriptures together through Christ-centered, expositional preaching. We typically preach through books of the Bible, seeking to understand the passage’s original intent and apply it to our heads, hearts, and hands.
Worshiping as a Family (All Ages)
We love having children in our worship service! A healthy church is a noisy church — the wiggles and whispers of our kids are welcome here. We want children of all ages to see and experience worship alongside their families.
We offer a safe and loving nursery for our little ones. You can drop off your children (Infant – 4 years old) before the service begins. The nursery is located in our education building — the hallway to your left as you enter from the parking lot.
We're a family of believers seeking to be Christ-centered and biblically faithful. Because of this, we organize our church according to what we see laid out in Scripture. This means we are 1) led by a team of pastors, 2) served by a team of deacons, and 3) empowered by an active congregation who is joyfully using its gifts to build up the church and further its mission.
